The Weitz Company is seeking a Senior Project Manager for our growing Industrial unit in Arizona. This role will lead multi-project oversight on a traveling basis, focusing on profitably delivering quality construction with a strong safety and stakeholder relations orientation.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of construction and project management experience, with preference for semiconductor exposure. Proficiency in Procore, Bluebeam, and JDE is valued, along with solid leadership and

Qualifications

• Industry-related college degree required; equivalent education/experience considered.
• Minimum of five (5) years of construction experience including project management.
• Semiconductor experience preferred.
• Strong: leadership, communication, negotiation, risk assessment, and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage project schedule; address long lead items; update plan; initiate changes for adherence.
• Negotiate and execute change orders, subcontracts and purchase orders.
• Complete monthly project status reports, owner billings and financial risk assessments.
• Identify value engineering and scope reduction opportunities.
• Ensure project safety plan is communicated to team and subcontractors.
• Assist with preconstruction efforts and manage buy-out process.
• Detect constructability issues with project design; ensure adherence to contract terms and budgets.
• Mentor staff, assign tasks, and support promotions.
