Job summary

Unlimited Technology is seeking a Traveling Security Technician to join our Government team in Washington, DC area. You will install, service and test a range of access control and IP camera systems while representing UT to customers in a professional manner.

You must read engineered drawings, install door hardware, and complete all job tickets. Comfort with travel and a strong focus on safety will be essential to success in this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or state-recognized equivalent.
• 1–5 years of security installation experience and network ability.
• Knowledgeable of security equipment systems (intrusion, access control).
• Capable of installing and maintaining alarms, access control and assessment devices.
• DCJS Certification is required; U.S. Government Security Clearance preferred.
• Willingness to travel nationwide; able to travel 2 weeks at a time.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, test and inspect access control and IP camera products and systems.
• Read and comprehend engineered drawings.
• Maintain a safe working environment at all times and complete paperwork for job tickets.
• Communicate project activity to the UT project manager in a timely manner.
