Job summary

Unlimited Technology is seeking a Traveling Security Technician to join UT Government. The role involves installing, servicing, testing and inspecting access control and IP camera systems while working with customers and traveling across the United States.

You will read engineered drawings, understand door hardware basics, and complete all job tickets while maintaining safety and timely communication with project managers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or state-recognized equivalent.
• 1–5 years of security installation experience and network ability.
• Knowledgeable of security equipment systems (intrusion detection, assessment, and access control).
• Ability to obtain and retain a U.S. Government Security Clearance; DCJS Certified is required.
• Prior troubleshooting experience.
• Security industry certifications.
• Knowledge of Security brands: Software House, Gallagher, Lenel, Hanwha, Bosch, Hirsh.
• Ability to travel around the US; able to travel 2 weeks at a time.

Responsibilities

• Service and test various Access Control and IP Camera products and platforms.
• Read and comprehend engineered drawings.
• Understand door hardware installation basics.
• Complete all required paperwork for job tickets.
• Maintain a safe working environment at all times.
• Communicate project activity to the UT project manager or appropriate manager promptly.
