Job summary

Turner Construction Company seeks an experienced scheduler for a full-time traveling assignment supporting our Advanced Technology Group on a Biotech project. The role requires creating dynamic schedules, coordinating with the project team, and applying CPM logic to meet critical milestones on large construction efforts.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree in engineering/construction management with 4+ years of related experience, and familiarity with Primavera P6, Acumen Fuse, and Change

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Building Construction, or related field with minimum of 4 years of related experience.
• Large construction project experience ($50m+)
• Experience in construction positions (e.g., Field Engineer, Assistant Superintendent)
• Proficient use of scheduling software applications (e.g., Oracle Primavera P6)
• Knowledge of scheduling comparison tools (e.g., Acumen Fuse, Change Inspector)
• Ability to interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, and scopes of work to develop project schedule
• Knowledge of estimating to support project schedule development
• Familiar with earned value concepts and using construction resources to validate productivity and durations
• Ability to manage competing demands and meet deadlines
• Process and analytical skills to make decisions
• Highly organized with attention to detail
• Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies
• Demonstrate professional interpersonal skills to develop relationships with project team members and stakeholders to acquire information and discern impact to schedule

Responsibilities

• Develop schedules for large or multiple smaller construction projects with more complex scheduling activities.
• Revise and review project schedule with project team and monitor and track progress against defined schedule.
• Develop relationships with project stakeholders for communication of overall project plan and to support project performance and promote value of scheduling.
• Collaborate with project team to confirm Contract Item List (CIL), develop ROJ dates for schedule, and review Procurement Schedule to track subcontractor commitments.
• Collaborate with project team to develop project schedule based on CPM logic-generated baseline schedules using scheduling software.
• Review and recommend decisions related to performance of work regarding scheduling, delivery, logistics, and trade staffing levels.
• Study schedule deliverables prior to publication or distribution; ask challenging questions to enhance accuracy of schedule.
• Prepare detailed schedules with project departments and engage VDC team to align schedules and models.
• Define project schedule metrics and monitor critical path activities to achieve forecasted end-date.
• Provide monthly scheduling progress for ORM or other project review sessions.
• Provide support to project end-users to develop proficiency in scheduling software.
• Develop and update cost and/or resource loaded schedules as requested.
• Apply continuous improvement methodology to scheduling operations.
• Other activities, duties, and responsibilities as assigned.
