Job summary

Tilcon Connecticut Inc. is seeking a Scale Operator in a floating capacity across Connecticut. The role involves weighing trucks, processing transactions for aggregates and asphalt, scheduling deliveries, and coordinating trucking activities between sites.

The candidate must maintain accuracy, organize, and work both independently and as part of a team while upholding safety and quality standards. Will travel to multiple Tilcon CT locations as needed and report to the POS Manager.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior customer service, retail, administrative, or construction industry experience preferred.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Connecticut Public Weigher's License.

Responsibilities

• Weigh trucks and accurately process transactions for aggregates, asphalt, and other materials.
• Maintain accurate customer, job, product, trucking, and haul-rate information in the POS system.
• Process orders received by telephone and schedule material deliveries.
• Coordinate trucking activities between jobsites and production facilities.
• Reconcile daily cash transactions and prepare daily sales reports.
• Provide excellent customer service to customers, drivers, vendors, and employees.
• Communicate site traffic patterns and safety requirements to customers and truck drivers.
• Maintain accurate files and records and support operational/administrative functions.
