Job summary

Dennis Group seeks a Safety Manager to help develop, manage, and implement a Health and Safety Program for vertical, industrial construction projects. You will ensure OSHA compliance, lead safety training, conduct site observations, and coordinate with project teams and subcontractors.

Ideal candidates have 4–7 years of safety leadership on construction sites, strong communication skills, and willingness to travel across North America (75%+). On-site presence is required on projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in health and safety, risk management, or construction.
• 4-7 years overseeing safety activities on construction projects.
• 4-7 years developing, implementing, and coordinating health and safety training.
• 4-7 years performing construction job site safety inspections and investigations.
• OSHA training certifications and other professional certifications.
• Ability to travel to job sites throughout North America as required (75%+).
• Proficient in MS Windows, Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and implementing health and safety program.
• Assist in developing, implementing, and coordinating health and safety training and activities.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state and local safety laws.
• Compile incident rate data on injuries, accidents, etc.
• Prepare and deliver safety toolbox talks and training topics for contractors.
• Prepare, implement and enforce Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and Activities Hazard Analysis (AHAs).
• Attend and prepare safety actions for pre-construction and on-site meetings.
• Conduct and document Jobsite Safety Observations.
• Review subcontractor safety pre-qualification submittal.
• Work with Construction Managers and Sr Safety Managers on site safety procedures.
• May act as full-time on-site safety coordinator when required.
• Review safety programs with client representatives and governmental agencies.
• Research construction safety best practices.
• Educate and provide training and support on accident prevention.
• Provide coaching and mentoring as directed.
