Job summary

Dennis Group is seeking a Safety Manager to lead safety program development and field implementation across vertical industrial construction projects. You will oversee training, compliance with OSHA and safety laws, and incident data analysis.

You will coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and project teams, delivering toolbox talks, conducting site observations, and driving JSA/AHA processes. Travel up to 75%+ across North America is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in health and safety, risk management, or construction required.
• 4–7 years overseeing safety activities on construction projects.
• 4–7 years developing, implementing, and coordinating health and safety training and activities for construction projects.
• OSHA training certifications and other professional certifications.
• Ability to travel to job sites throughout North America; travel 75%+.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and implementing health and safety program.
• Assist in developing, implementing, and coordinating health and safety training and activities.
• Must be familiar with federal, state and local safety laws to ensure compliance.
• Compile incident rate data on injuries, accidents, etc.
• Prepare and deliver safety toolbox talks and training topics for contractors.
• Prepare, implement and enforce Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and Activities Hazard Analysis (AHAs).
• Attend and prepare safety actions for pre-construction conferences and meetings.
• Conduct and document Jobsite Safety Observations.
• Review subcontractor safety pre-qualification submittal.
• Travel with Construction Managers to establish site safety procedures.
• May act as full-time on-site safety coordinator.
• Review safety programs with client representatives and agencies.
• Research construction safety best practices.
• Provide coaching and mentoring to staff.
