Job summary

Dennis Group Safety Professionals assist in the development, management, and implementation of a Health and Safety Program for all Dennis Group projects. Projects are vertical, industrial construction, with multiple disciplines and sub-contractors.

Responsibilities include OSHA knowledge, safety management, accident investigation, and training across sites. The role requires coordinating training, conducting safety inspections, and reporting metrics; travel up to 75%+ across North America.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor’s program in Health and Safety, Risk Management, or Construction; internship options if applicable.
• GPA 3.0 or greater.
• 0–3 years of construction project work/school experience.
• OSHA training certification preferred.
• Ability to travel to North America up to 75%+.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and implementing health and safety program.
• Assist in coordinating health and safety training and activities.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state and local safety laws.
• Prepare and deliver safety toolbox talks and training topics.
• Prepare, implement and enforce Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and AHAs.
• Attend safety actions for pre-construction and progress meetings.
• Conduct and document Jobsite Safety Observations.
• Review subcontractor safety pre-qualification submissions.
• Collaborate with project teams to establish safety procedures.
• Travel to job sites as required.
• Investigate accidents and determine root causes; report metrics.
