Job summary

Guidehealth is seeking a Retinal Camera Operator - Eye Exam Specialist to perform scheduled diabetic eye exams at provider practices in the Atlanta area. Travel to appointments is required and reimbursed; imaging equipment will be provided and training is included.

You will operate retinal imaging equipment, manage a daily appointment schedule, and collaborate with care teams to close quality gaps. Strong communication and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Willingness and ability to travel daily, up to 100%, to provider practices; full training is provided.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Associate degree or higher in a related field.
• Minimum of 1–3 years of experience in a healthcare setting.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, quality measures, medical billing, or coding.
• Proficiency using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Teams, and multiple healthcare-related systems or applications.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet hard deadlines.
• Ability to collaborate with management, coworkers, customers, providers, payers, and care teams.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Certified or licensed healthcare professional credential, such as CMA or LPN.

Responsibilities

• Travel to provider practices and patient homes for scheduled eye exams.
• Perform diabetic eye exams (retinal screenings) using company-provided imaging equipment.
• Complete training on retinal imaging and maintain competency through ongoing training.
• Manage daily eye exam appointment schedules and coordinate travel logistics.
• Build and maintain relationships with coworkers, customers, providers, payers, and care teams.
• Support quality improvement, reporting, patient outreach, and customer success.
