Job summary

QSAC is a New York City and Long Island based nonprofit that supports children and adults with autism, and their families, in achieving greater independence and meaningful community contribution.

The Recruiter will support the HR Recruitment Team with posting, screening, background checks and onboarding, in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment requiring organization and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in HR or higher preferred.
• 1–3 years HR experience highly preferred.
• Familiar with MS Office and Google Apps required.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to travel to QSAC sites and job fairs.
• Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate punctuality.
• Commitment to company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Screen candidates and present qualified applicants to hiring managers.
• Complete and follow up on background checks and onboarding tasks.
• Navigate in UKG ATS for screening, forwarding, and dispositioning.
• Assist with biweekly new hire orientation and scheduling.
• Conduct employee reference checks and interview day prep.
• Attend internal job fairs and external campus events.
• Monitor onboarding progress with HR and hiring managers.
• Assist with posting and tracking new hires.
