Job summary

Midnight Sun Global Services, LLC seeks an experienced Traveling Quality Control Manager / Site Safety and Health Officer (QCM/SSHO) to support federal construction projects nationwide. You will enforce quality and safety programs on site, develop plans, and maintain rigorous documentation while traveling to multiple project locations.

The role requires on-site leadership, OSHA/EM 385-1-1 compliance, and collaboration with government stakeholders.

Qualifications

5+ years of total experience as a QCM and/or SSHO on federal government construction projects.
Experience with USACE, NAVFAC, USCG or other federal clients is highly desired.
Experience with IDIQ/JOC/SABER/MATOC-type contracts is highly desired.

Responsibilities

Serve as on-site Quality Control Manager and/or SSHO for all construction activities.
Develop, implement, and manage the QCP and SSHP on site.
Conduct three phases of control (Preparatory, Initial, Follow-Up) for compliance.
Perform daily quality control inspections and maintain reports.
Enforce safety standards per OSHA and EM 385-1-1.
Lead daily safety meetings and toolbox talks.
Review and enforce AHAs for all work features.
Coordinate inspections, testing, and commissioning activities.
Monitor subcontractors for compliance with plans and safety.
Maintain submittals, RFIs, deficiency logs, and drawings.
Identify deficiencies and drive corrective actions.
Stop work to correct unsafe or non-compliant conditions.
