NexGen Contracting is seeking a Traveling Project Engineer to join its In-Plant-Special-Projects Division. This entry-level role provides hands-on experience across project lifecycles, with a focus on safety, scheduling, cost control, and procurement in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will work with an integrated team, support field operations, and travel to project sites as needed, gaining growth opportunities while contributing to project success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Science/Management or Engineering or equivalent.
• 4+ years of relevant construction experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with project safety compliance.
• Support understanding and distribution of job costs and estimates.
• Contribute to project sequencing and scheduling.
• Track project progress and analyze production.
• Assist in project cost reporting and administrative duties.
• Support material/equipment procurement processes.
• Help manage change order requests and tracking.
• Coordinate with general contractors/owners under supervision.
• Assist with reporting requirements including field time, productivity, and safety.
