Job summary

NexGen Contracting, the self-perform arm of Gray Construction, seeks a Project Cost Controls Specialist for a travel-heavy role within our MEP Division, focusing on concrete construction projects.

You will implement cost controls, track expenses, generate cost reports, and support budgets in a fast-paced environment. Requires an associate degree and at least one year of jobsite experience; Primavera and Microsoft Office skills preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in business or engineering; 1+ year jobsite construction experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; good with word processing and spreadsheets; basic email skills.
• Familiarity with Primavera Scheduling Software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain cost controls on a project.
• Monitor, evaluate and update project cost data on budgeted amounts.
• Generate project progress charts and cost reports.
• Support forecast of time and cost problems by offering trending information.
• Develop and execute measurement systems to process, analyze and identify improvements.
• Develop and update resource loaded construction schedules.
• Verify scope changes and estimate costs by using contract terms.
