NexGen Contracting is seeking a Project Cost Controls Specialist for its Concrete Division to provide detailed cost analysis, budgeting, and forecasting on construction projects. This is a project-based travel role requiring on-site coordination and timely cost reporting.

The ideal candidate has an associate degree, at least one year of jobsite experience, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and Primavera Scheduling.

Qualifications

• Must have at least an Associate’s degree from a two year college or university in Business or Engineering and at least one year of jobsite construction experience.
• Must possess basic computer skills including word processing, spreadsheet, and e-mail applications. Proficient in Microsoft Suite and Primavera Scheduling Software.
• Energetic, self-motivated, team oriented with a passion for collaboration and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain cost controls on a project.
• Monitor, evaluate and update project cost data on budgeted amounts.
• Generate project progress charts and cost reports.
• Support forecast of time and cost problems by offering trending information.
• Develop and execute measurement systems to process, analyze and identify improvements.
• Develop and update resource loaded construction schedules.
• Verify scope changes and estimate costs by using contract terms.
