Job summary

DecisionPoint Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Field Installation Technician to deploy POS hardware, networking equipment, and low-voltage infrastructure at customer sites across the United States.

This field-based role services retail stores, restaurants, warehouses, and distribution centers, with heavy travel throughout the Midwest and nationwide. You will install and troubleshoot POS systems, printers, scanners, routers, and cabling; read blueprints and wiring diagrams; coordinate with

Qualifications

• Education & Experience: High School Diploma or GED; 2-3 years field service experience in healthcare environments; Printer repair or networking certifications are a plus.
• Technical Expertise: Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills; experience with Zebra printers and networked printing devices; HIPAA familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and troubleshoot POS systems, PCs, printers, scanners, routers, switches, wireless access points.
• Read blueprints, floor plans, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, customers, and technicians to complete projects safely and on schedule.
• Troubleshoot hardware, connectivity, and installation issues in the field.
• Maintain installation documentation and project reports.
• Deliver outstanding customer service while representing the company professionally.
