Job summary

DecisionPoint Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Field Installation Technician to deploy POS hardware and related networking gear across the Midwest and the United States.

This field-based role supports retail, restaurants, warehouses, and distribution centers, with 90% travel involved. You will install, configure, and test equipment, interpret blueprints, and collaborate with project managers and customers to complete projects safely and on schedule.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 2–3 years field service experience repairing hardware in healthcare settings is preferred.
• Certifications related to printer repair, networking, or field service are a plus.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills; familiarity with HIPAA in patient-care environments.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and troubleshoot POS systems, PCs, printers, scanners, routers, switches, and wireless APs.
• Pull, route, terminate, and test Cat5e, Cat6, and fiber optic cabling per standards.
• Read blueprints, floor plans, and wiring diagrams; perform pre-install surveys.
