Job summary

Fairview Health Services is seeking a casual day/evening Laboratory Care Technician (LCT) to support multiple M Health Fairview clinics, including Hugo, North Branch, Chisago City, and Wyoming. The role involves phlebotomy, specimen handling, LIS/HIS data entry, and travel between sites as part of a flex workforce.

Shifts are 8 hours with start around 6:30am and end times up to 6pm; Fridays may end earlier. Travel and augmentation pay are included per IRS regulations.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or higher; diploma, GED, or transcript must be provided.
• Completion of a formal phlebotomy education program.
• Three months of full-time clinical phlebotomy and laboratory experience or enrollment in MLT or MLS program with phlebotomy course.

Responsibilities

• Follows SOPs to obtain biological specimens.
• Performs phlebotomy at various sites and communicates handling needs of specimens.
• Uses effective communication to meet patient and customer needs.
