Job summary

Fairview Health Services is seeking a Laboratory Care Technician for the Acute Care Laboratory at M Health Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina, MN. This full-time role involves evening shifts with some night shifts, and an initial five-week training period both remote and on-site.

The LCT handles specimen collection, LIS/HIS data entry, and reporting of results while ensuring quality and safety in a fast-paced, 24/7 laboratory environment. Prior hospital lab experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Formal phlebotomy education or equivalent training.
• Experience in a hospital/clinic lab setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect laboratory specimens following guidelines.
• Enter orders and collection data into LIS/HIS accurately.
• Monitor system logs and schedule tests/procedures.
• Provide results over the phone and support lab operations.
