Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Phlebotomist for St. Charles Hospital to draw quality blood samples, prepare specimens for testing, and support clerical duties to maintain lab efficiency.

You will collect specimens, ensure accurate patient identification, perform data entry and sample processing, and assist with calls and results. Travel to off-site locations may be required to support patient care.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED.
• Phlebotomist certification preferred but not required.
• One year phlebotomy experience preferred but not required.
• Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for lab testing.
• Enter orders, look up results, generate reports, and answer internal/external calls in a friendly manner.
• Identify patients accurately and ensure correct service matching for patient safety.
• Perform clerical duties such as inventory checks and phone coverage as needed.
