Job summary

Optum is seeking a Phlebotomist Per Diem in Seattle, WA. Under general supervision, you will perform venipuncture, specimen collection, waived and moderate testing, and EKGs. The role requires travel to Optum Draw Satellites and a strong background in phlebotomy and patient care.

The schedule is seven days a week with a minimum of one day per week and up to 960 hours per year. The candidate must be detail-oriented and able to work independently as part of a team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• MA-Pbt certification from the state of Washington required to perform procedures.
• Completion of a Phlebotomy Certificate program.
• BLS (AHA) certification required or obtained within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Venipuncture and specimen collection.
• Perform waived and moderate complexity laboratory testing.
• Interact with patients and healthcare providers professionally and compassionately.
• Follow HIPAA and clinic policies; ensure accuracy of records and safety.
