Job summary

Optum is seeking a Senior Phlebotomist Float 5 to perform venipuncture, specimen collection and moderate testing, while ensuring patient care meets high-quality standards. The role requires travel to Optum Draw Satellite sites, with an on-site main office in Everett, WA, and a 40-hour work week scheduled by the supervisor.

Candidates should have phlebotomy credentials, WA MA-Pbt certification, BLS, and at least 1 year of phlebotomy experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED.
• WA-state MA-Pbt certification or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certificate program completed.
• BLS (AHA) certification or ability to obtain within 30 days.
• 1+ year phlebotomy and patient communication experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and specimen collection with prompt, safe technique.
• Conduct waived and moderate complexity testing and microscopy.
• Record results accurately and maintain quality control.
• Interact with patients and providers professionally and compassionately.
• Travel to Optum Draw Satellite sites as required and ensure compliance.
