Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Phlebotomist Per Diem to perform venipuncture, specimen collection, and various laboratory duties at the Seattle area labs. This role requires careful attention to safety, patient care, and accurate documentation.

The position involves traveling to Optum Draw Satellites and supporting multiple lab locations. The ideal candidate has WA phlebotomy credentials, a phlebotomy certificate, and BLS certification, with 1+ year experience in clinical settings plus

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• WA-registered Medical Assistant-Phlebotomist certification required.
• Phlebotomy certificate program completed.
• BLS (AHA) certification or obtained within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Venipuncture and specimen collection with proper safety and handling.
• Perform waived and moderate complexity laboratory testing including microscopy.
• Maintain accurate records of patient information and test results.
• Perform EKGs and other related laboratory services.
• Ensure proper supply management and documentation.
