Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC is seeking a Class A Lineman in Kingsport, TN to construct and repair energized and de-energized overhead distribution systems. The role requires climbing structures, operating bucket trucks, and performing live-line work with glove and hot-stick techniques, all while prioritizing safety and quality.

You will travel to different job sites, including out-of-state locations, work overtime and outages, and mentor apprentices and groundmen as part of a safety-focused crew

Qualifications

• Five years of recent overhead line experience.
• Valid CDL.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Willing to work extended hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Willing to work outages and emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Perform new construction and repair of overhead distribution systems with safety first.
• Lead crew in absence of the Employee in Charge and conduct safety briefings.
• Train apprentices and groundmen.
• Install and repair poles, insulators, conductors and related hardware.
• Perform live-line work using approved gloves and hot-stick techniques.
• Follow all safety protocols and wear PPE.
