Job summary

PDS Optical seeks a Travel Optician based out of the Lebanon, PA VA Medical Center with nationwide travel (80%+). The role offers $20–$25/hour base plus 3% commissions, and a schedule roughly Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, in a professional VA medical environment.

Ideal candidates will provide patient-focused eyewear fitting, adjustments, and dispensing while ensuring compliance with VA requirements and delivering excellent Veteran care.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Experience with lensometers, pupilometers and optical software.
• Ability to travel 80% or more across the United States.
• Professional VA medical environment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, knowledgeable service to Veterans.
• Fit, adjust, repair, and dispense eyewear with precision.

Travel would be anywhere in the United States and US Territories. Anticipated travel time would be 80%+.
