Job summary

PDS Optical, based at the Tampa VA Medical Center, seeks a Traveling Optician to serve Veterans nationwide. You will be based out of Tampa, travel 80%+, and work Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, with opportunities for commissions.

Provide eyewear fittings, repairs, and dispensing with precision, while ensuring VA security and patient care standards. This role combines travel with a professional medical environment and a strong commitment to Veterans.

Qualifications

• Experience with lensometers, pupilometers, and optical software.
• Self-motivated with strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Dependable, detail-oriented, and service-driven.
• Knowledge of VA optical benefits is preferred but not required.
