PDS Optical is seeking an experienced optician to join our team as a traveling optician, based out of the Manhattan VA in New York. The role involves 80%+ travel across the United States and territories, with full-time hours and a pay range of $32–$35 per hour.

As a dedicated team member, you will provide friendly, professional service to Veterans, fit eyewear, and ensure customer satisfaction while complying with security/background checks. Benefits include health, retirement, and more.

Qualifications

• Must be a Licensed Optician.
• Must have ABO Certification.
• Must have valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting.
• Skilled in fitting, adjusting, repairing, and selling eyewear.
• Proficient in using lensometers, pupilometers, and computers.
• Knowledge of VA benefits and discounts for optical services.
• Dependable, self-motivated, and customer focused.

Salary Range: $32.00 To $35.00 Annually

Travel would be anywhere in the United States and US Territories. Anticipated travel time would be 80%+.

• Full-time core hours | Monday - Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM | Weekend travel required
• Pay Range: $32-$35/hour
