Job summary

PDS Optical is seeking a Traveling Optician to join our team based out of the Houston, TX VA Medical Center. This full-time role requires travel across the United States and US Territories, with anticipated travel 80%+.

You will provide eyewear services to Veterans in a respectful, clinical environment. The position offers $20-$25 per hour, 3% commissions, and a schedule of Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License required.
• Reliable transportation to travel nationwide.
• Self-motivated with strong communication and customer service.
• Experience with lensometers, pupilometers, and optical software.
• Thrives in a fast-paced clinical VA environment.
• Detail-oriented, dependable, service-driven.
• Knowledge of VA optical benefits preferred.
