Qualifications

• Associate's degree in OTA program is required.
• Eligibility for state OTA licensure by examination and current state license prior to start date.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications.
• Effective verbal and written communication to present information clearly and professionally.
• Good organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to travel throughout and between facilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform occupational therapy treatments as prescribed by the physician under supervision of a licensed occupational therapist.
• Provide direct patient care after evaluation by a licensed occupational therapist.
• Communicate and document changes in patient status and inform therapist of reassessment.
• Maintain patient records according to documentation standards, policies, and procedures.
• Participate in staff and committee projects.
• Achieve established productivity levels set forth by administration.
• Educate and train others within the discipline.
• Adapt behavior to the specific patient population, respecting privacy and communication needs.
• Perform other related duties as required.
