Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is hiring an Occupational Therapist Assistant for in-home therapy services. You will provide occupational therapy to patients to help restore their physical abilities, following supervising OT plans and state regulations.

The role requires OTA licensure, a valid driver's license, and NBCOT certification. CPR certification is preferred, with a focus on multi-tasking, independence, and strong communication across care teams.

Qualifications

• Current Occupational Therapy Assistant licensure in state of practice.
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.
• Must be certified and in good standing with the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.
• Preferred CPR certification or ability to complete within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Follow state-specific laws governing provision of occupational therapy in home care, per supervising OT.
• Instruct and aid patients in evidence-based treatment within OTA scope and state laws.
• Observe, record, and report patient responses to treatment and changes to condition to nurse supervisor/physician.
• Instruct patient, family, caregiver, and health-care team in therapy areas within OTA scope.
• Function in any home setting regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition.
