The Weitz Company is seeking a Project Superintendent to oversee field operations on data center projects in Cedar Rapids, IA. You will drive safety culture, coordinate with the Project Manager to manage schedule, budget, and staffing, and mentor subcontractors and field staff to deliver complex projects on time.

Qualifications

• The candidate has at least 3 years in field and project construction management.
• Experience in a fast-paced environment is required.
• Prior experience in Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing or data centers is preferred.
• Proven ability to lead others and mentor teammates.
• Previous experience with a General Contractor is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Construct project per plans, schedule, specs and standards.
• Lead subcontractors and field staff on site.
• Drive project safety in line with policy.
• Coordinate with Project Manager on schedule, budget and staffing.
• Develop two-week look-ahead schedules.
• Assist with buyout and selection of major subs.
• Suggest cost-saving and schedule-improvement opportunities.
• Ensure documents are accurate and compliant (closeouts, submittals, logs).
• Review and enforce contract terms and obligations.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures.
• Handle other duties as assigned.
