Job summary

The Weitz Company is seeking a Project Superintendent for data center projects in Cedar Rapids, IA. You will drive profitable field operations on large, complex projects, establish a safety culture, and collaborate with the Project Manager to control schedule, budget, and staff while fostering client and subcontractor relationships.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years' field and project construction management experience.
• Experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Prior experience in Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing or Data Centers preferred.
• Proven history of leading others and mentoring staff.
• General Contractor experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Construct the project in accordance with plans, schedule, specifications and standards.
• Lead subcontractors and field employees on a jobsite.
• Lead project safety in accordance with the Company’s Safety Policy.
• Work with the Project Manager to manage the project schedule, budget and staff.
• Develop and maintain the project schedule utilizing scheduling software; prepare two-week look ahead schedules.
• Assist with the buyout and selection of major subcontractors.
• Recommend ways to reduce cost and improve schedule and quality.
• Ensure project documents are accurate and compliant (closeout documents, submittals, daily logs).
• Review and enforce all contract terms and obligations.
• Adhere to all company policies, standards and procedures.
