Job summary

The Weitz Company in Cedar Rapids, IA is hiring an Electrical Project Superintendent to lead onsite activities on our data center project. The role focuses on safety, schedule, budget, and staff leadership, while building strong relationships with owners, designers, engineers, and subcontractors.

You will work closely with the Project Manager to develop lookahead schedules, coordinate subcontractors, monitor quality, and ensure all paperwork is completed accurately.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Project Superintendent experience required
• Experience on data center projects highly desired
• Electrical background required
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
• Proficient in MS Office and project scheduling software (lookahead scheduling)

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary leader of subcontractors and field forces on a job site
• Maintain project safety in accordance with the safety policy
• Manage project schedule and budget with Project Manager
• Prepare two‑week look ahead schedules
• Update project schedules using scheduling software
• Assist with buyout and selection of subcontractors
• Coordinate subcontractors' field forces
• Electrical quality control and inspections
• Communicate with owners, designers, and engineers
• Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately and timely
• Adhere to company policies and develop the team
• Foster positive relationships on the jobsite
