Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking a full-time traveling MEP Project Engineer for critical facilities and data center projects across the United States, reporting to the Aviation Market Segment Group. Prior aviation or airport project experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities include leading the project team, managing contract items and schedules, evaluating RFIs, and directing budget and change orders while ensuring quality and safety standards are met on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering and a minimum of four years of relevant engineering experience.
• Experience with mechanical and electrical systems on large construction projects.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, and ability to lead teams across disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Lead the project team, subcontractors, owner's consultants and representatives to ensure optimal alignment and efficient systems installation.
• Prepare and manage the contract item list for all components, materials, and systems to ensure ROJ dates align with the project schedule.
• Participate in schedule update meetings and provide the latest information for an informed and accurate schedule.
• Evaluate and manage the processing of RFIs.
• Manage the budget including review, evaluation, and negotiation of all change orders with understanding of the financial status of all subcontractors.
• Co-lead the MEP Coordination Process with the VDC Engineer to ensure installation complies with design requirements and quality standards.
• Co-lead the turnover process including start-up, testing, commissioning and closeout.
