Job summary

Turner Construction Company seeks an Experienced MEP engineer for a full-time traveling role across the United States, supporting aviation projects. The position reports to the Aviation Market Segment Group and prioritizes strong project leadership and technical expertise in mechanical and electrical systems.

With a minimum four years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, you will lead multi-disciplinary teams, manage budgets and schedules, and ensure rigorous quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and at least four years of relevant engineering experience or an equivalent combination.
• Technical understanding of mechanical and electrical systems across project types and how they interrelate.
• Strong verbal and written communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Turner project team, subcontractors, owner's consultants and reps to ensure alignment and efficient systems installation.
• Prepare and manage the contract item list for all components to keep ROJ dates in line with the project schedule.
• Participate in schedule update meetings and provide the latest information for informed planning.
• Evaluate and manage the processing of RFIs.
• Manage the budget including review, evaluation, and negotiation of change orders and subcontractor financials.
• Supervise, coach and mentor Assistant MEP Engineers.
• Co-lead the MEP Coordination Process with the VDC Engineer to ensure design compliance and quality.
• Prepare scope of work documents with clear division of responsibilities for trades and temporary operations.
• Partner with the MEP Superintendent to resolve conflicts between mechanical/electrical systems and site logistics.
• Co-lead the turnover process including start-up, testing, commissioning and closeout.
• Conduct regular project walkthroughs to verify compliance with contract documents and submittals.
• Identify and inform field staff of complex installation requirements for proper planning.
• Manage required municipal and agency documentation for temporary information and system operation.
• Create and implement the quality control plan with the MEP Superintendent.
