Turner Construction Company seeks a Senior Project Engineer for a full-time traveling assignment supporting an Advanced Technology project, including Data Centers. Based in Detroit, you will lead mechanical and electrical systems coordination, manage budgets and schedules, mentor junior engineers, and ensure compliance with contract documents.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering and at least four years of relevant experience, with 100% travel and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is required.
• Minimum four years of relevant engineering experience or equivalent.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Understanding of mechanical and electrical systems across project types.

Responsibilities

• Lead project team, subcontractors, and owner representatives to ensure alignment and efficient systems installation.
• Manage contract item lists and ensure ROJ dates align with the schedule.
• Participate in schedule meetings and provide updated information.
• Evaluate and process RFIs.
• Oversee budget, change orders, and subcontractor financial status.
• Supervise and mentor Assistant MEP Engineers.
• Coordinate MEP with VDC Engineer for design compliance.
• Draft scope documents for trades and temporary operations.
• Resolve conflicts between mechanical and electrical systems and site logistics.
• Oversee turnover, startup, testing, commissioning and closeout.
