Job summary

Turner Construction is seeking an experienced engineer for a full-time traveling role supporting a data center/advanced technology portfolio, with assignments across multiple sites including Buffalo, NY. You will lead cross-functional teams, manage RFI processing, and supervise junior engineers while ensuring schedule adherence and quality.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering and at least four years of relevant experience, with strong communication skills and the ability to travel

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and a minimum of four years of relevant engineering experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience relating to mechanical and electrical systems.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, organizational ability, and proficiency with computer applications.
• Demonstrate leadership to encourage the development of a high performing team.

Responsibilities

• Lead the project team, subcontractors, owner's consultants and representatives to ensure optimal alignment and efficient systems installation.
• Prepare and manage the contract item's list for all components, materials, and systems to ensure ROJ dates align with the project schedule.
• Participate in schedule update meetings and provide the latest information for an informed schedule.
• Evaluate and manage the processing of RFIs.
• Manage the budget including review, evaluation, and negotiation of all change orders.
• Supervise, coach and mentor Assistant MEP Engineers.
• Co-lead MEP coordination with the VDC Engineer to ensure design compliance and quality.
• Coordinate scope of work documents and temporary operations responsibilities.
