Job summary

Community Health Systems, Inc. is seeking a Professional Fee Coding Educator to train CHS-affiliated providers and staff on accurate coding and documentation to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws.

You will conduct educational sessions, review records for proper coding, and develop materials to promote regulatory adherence. The role requires strong presentation skills, knowledge of CPT/ICD-10-CM coding, and ability to travel for training and education sessions across CHS

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience in medical coding, documentation, or healthcare compliance.
• 4-6 years of experience in physician office/clinic coding and medical billing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conducts training sessions for CHS providers and staff.
• Reviews medical records for accurate coding and documentation in accordance with payer requirements.
• Identifies educational needs and provides guidance on documentation and coding improvements.
• Develops and updates educational materials to support coding compliance.
• Keeps current with legislative/regulatory changes and informs staff accordingly.
• Travels as needed to fulfill training sessions and educate teams.
• Produces comprehensive reports of compliance reviews and presents findings.
