Job summary

Planned Parenthood Los Angeles is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant (Float) to work full-time at our Burbank Health Center, with travel to Antelope Valley, Van Nuys, and Canoga Park as needed.

The ideal candidate will have a MA diploma/certificate, BLS, 1–2 years clinical experience, and the ability to perform front and back office duties, venipuncture, injections, and patient education in reproductive health.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Medical Assistant Diploma/Certificate required.
• BLS Certification required or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire.
• 1–2 years experience in a clinical setting.
• Availability to work flexible hours including Saturdays.
• Venipuncture and Injection training to be completed within 1 year.
• Reproductive health care experience desirable.
• Knowledge of surgical services preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain medical history and interview patients; ensure informed consent.
• Assist with patient portal enrollment and vital signs collection.
• Provide testing, screening, and education for reproductive health care.
• Assist nurses and clinicians and support front/back office duties.
• Maintain infection control and safety guidelines; clean and stock rooms.
