Planned Parenthood Los Angeles is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant (Float) to assist in the Pomona Health Center. This full-time role covers both front and back office support, patient testing, screening, and education within reproductive health care.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED and a Medical Assistant credential, BLS, and 1–2 years clinical experience, with availability for Saturdays and a commitment to empathetic patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Medical Assistant Diploma/Certificate required.
• BLS certification required or willingness to obtain within 30 days.
• 1–2 years experience in a clinical setting.
• Flexibility to work Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Perform front and back office duties to support reproductive health care.
• Take vital signs, venipuncture and injections as trained.
• Assist nurses and clinicians during procedures and exams.
• Educate patients with non-judgmental, empathetic communication.
• Maintain infection control and safety guidelines.
