Job summary

Marathon Health is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our team in New Jersey as a Float Medical Assistant. This role supports a primary care physician, travels to multiple locations within the state/region, and blends front desk duties with clinical responsibilities to ensure excellent patient care and guest experience.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of Medical Assistant experience, graduation from an MA program, CPR/BLS certification, and flexibility to cover shifts as

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of Medical Assistant experience in primary care or similar setting.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or related program.
• National or state MA certification/registration preferred or required per state.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to rooms and ensure exam rooms are prepared and stocked.
• Take vitals, draw blood, assist with procedures, and coordinate lab tests.
• Perform front desk duties: scheduling, records requests, referrals, and check-in/out.
• Document data accurately in the medical record per guidelines.
• Assist with medications and immunizations as directed by the Provider.
• Support care team to develop patient plans and address gaps in care.
• Travel to multiple locations within the state/region to cover shifts.
