Job summary

CAE is seeking a Traveling Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to support the C-17 Training Systems RMF program. You will partner with the Lead ISSO to plan, staff, and maintain cybersecurity practices across locations, ensure DoD/NIST compliance, and coordinate with government and contractor stakeholders.

The role requires frequent travel, strong documentation skills, and the ability to deliver security controls during sustainment activities, upgrades, and incident responses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or related field.
• At least 5 years of professional cybersecurity experience; U.S. citizens only.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex technical documentation.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to present to leadership.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, DoD, Air Force).
• Perform vulnerability and compliance scans using DoD-approved tools.
• Monitor RMF and support system accreditation; prepare SSPs and POA&Ms.
• Provide cybersecurity support for C-17 sustainment activities and upgrades.
• Interface with government and contractor stakeholders; travel frequently.
