Job summary

CAE USA Inc. in Washington is seeking a Traveling Information Systems Security Officer to support the Lead ISSO, manage RMF, and ensure compliance with U.S. Government cybersecurity requirements for C-17 Training Systems.

The role covers vulnerability assessments, accreditation activities, and serving as the security interface for stakeholders while traveling to customer sites. You will integrate cybersecurity controls into system updates, monitor system posture, prepare RMF documentation, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
• At least 5 years of professional cybersecurity experience.
• Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with cybersecurity frameworks, policies, and procedures (NIST, DoD, Air Force).
• Perform required vulnerability and compliance scans using DoD-approved tools.
• Prepare RMF security authorization documentation, including System Security Plans (SSPs) and POA&M.
• Coordinate with maintenance, operations, and engineering teams to integrate cybersecurity into sustainment workflows.
• Travel frequently to customer and site locations.
