Job summary

The Weitz Company is seeking a Project Safety Manager to join our Industrial team. This traveling role begins on the Beaumont, TX project and requires strong site safety leadership across the project.

You will implement company safety standards, provide project-wide safety training, conduct audits, investigate incidents, and support preconstruction safety planning while coordinating closely with the Project Manager.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of construction safety experience.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the creation of the project safety plan.
• Track and trend project safety performance and recommend corrective measures.
• Verify project team adherence to safety management processes.
• Assist project teams with enforcement of safety programs and letters.
• Facilitate project safety committees.
• Conduct project safety inspections and incident investigations.
• Coordinate and communicate site safety activities with the Project Manager.
• Support regulatory safety compliance and audits.
