Job summary

UniFirst is hiring an Industrial Equipment Maintenance Technician to install, troubleshoot, and maintain large-capacity washers/dryers, conveyors, boilers, and related systems. The role requires reading blueprints, performing welding, and following safety procedures across multiple company sites.

You will work with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, using hand tools, power tools, and testing devices.

Qualifications

Must be 18 years of age or older.
Equipment Maintenance Knowledge – Minimum of 6 months’ work experience repairing industrial processing equipment in a production environment.
Applicable technical training and/or military experience will be considered.
Reading blueprints and schematics preferred.
Ability to read maintenance literature printed in English required.
Lockout/Tagout experience is preferred.
Prior welding experience including MIG, TIG, ARC, cutting, and brazing.

Responsibilities

Installs and troubleshoots industrial equipment, systems, and components (washers, dryers, conveyors, boilers).
Performs maintenance tasks per safety policies and procedures.
Complies with safety regulations; maintains a clean, safe work area.
Travel to multiple company locations as needed.
Performs welding activities (MIG, TIG, ARC, cutting, brazing).
Supports installation and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
