Job summary

Wanzek Construction, Inc. is seeking a field maintenance/construction professional to support high voltage substations and transmission lines across the United States.

The role requires extensive travel and a strong safety-first approach to ensure work is completed right the first time. Responsibilities include working around wind turbines, interacting with customers, and performing preventative maintenance on electrical systems up to 34.5 kV, with daily safety and reporting obligations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years in electrical industry, with maintenance or electrical degree/certificate and 1-year experience
• Valid Driver’s License
• Able to travel domestically

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance/construction around high voltage substations and transmission lines.
• Work around wind turbines and interact with customers and coworkers daily.
• Diagnose and repair electrical components and systems to prevent outages.
• Operate and test electrical equipment and perform TTR testing and splices.
• Maintain safety paperwork and adhere to zero-injury principles.
