Job summary

KHI Medical is seeking a construction superintendent to lead sizeable healthcare renovation projects in active facilities. The role requires travel up to 75% and hands-on management of RFIs, blueprints, MEP coordination, and hospital containment requirements.

The candidate will serve as the on-site representative, ensuring schedule adherence, safety, infection control, and clear communication with the project team and clients.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years of construction superintendent experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on construction trade experience.
• Hospital/healthcare construction experience.
• MEP coordination experience on commercial projects.
• Experience implementing hospital construction containment/ICRA controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day onsite operations; coordinate subcontractors, deliveries, and site logistics in occupied hospital areas.
• Implement and maintain containment per hospital/ICRA requirements (barriers, anterooms, negative air, HEPA filtration, dust/noise control).
• Review architectural/structural/MEP drawings and communicate execution plan to team and client.
• Plan and sequence MEP work; coordinate with subs; resolve clashes/field conflicts.
• Track RFIs, field coordination, and schedule updates; collaborate with Project Manager to keep milestones on track.
• Manage changes per hospital standards; document scope changes and support change orders.
• Provide daily updates to Project Manager; maintain log, photos, and field records.
• Utilize construction management tools (Bluebeam, Procore, PMWeb, Fluid CM) for workflow and documentation.
