Job summary

KHI Medical in Omaha, NE seeks a construction superintendent to lead substantial healthcare renovation projects in active facilities, ensuring patient safety and minimal disruption. You will direct on-site operations, coordinate MEP trades, review blueprints, manage RFIs and field changes, and document progress daily for the Project Manager.

Travel up to 75% is required and containment standards must be maintained.

Qualifications

• Strong background in all aspects of construction with healthcare experience.
• Experience submitting RFIs, reading/interpreting blueprints, and coordinating MEP trades.
• Familiarity with hospital containment requirements (ICRA) and infection control procedures.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% and communicate with client/stakeholders regularly.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day on-site operations and coordinate subcontractors and logistics in occupied hospital areas.
• Implement and manage hospital containment per ICRA requirements and document inspections.
• Read and convey execution plans from architectural/MEP drawings to the field.
• Plan shutdowns/tie-ins and coordinate with hospital stakeholders.
• Track RFIs, field coordination, and schedule updates with Project Manager.
• Manage scope changes and change-order requests per hospital standards.
• Provide daily progress updates and maintain field records.
