Job summary

Rogers Group, Inc. in Oak Ridge, TN, is seeking a Groundman/Laborer to support quarry production. The role involves general labor, equipment inspections, and preventative maintenance to keep crushers, conveyors, and related systems running safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of mechanical equipment and maintenance practices.
• Ability to inspect and identify equipment wear or repair needs.
• Strong work ethic and commitment to safety.

• Willingness to learn quarry plant operations and maintenance procedures.
• Physically capable of demanding work in varying weather.

Responsibilities

• Perform general labor and maintenance duties throughout the quarry and processing plant.
• Conduct routine inspections of crushers, screens, conveyors, motors, bearings, and other plant equipment.
• Assist with preventative maintenance, repairs, and equipment rebuilds.
• Lubricate, adjust, replace, and maintain plant components as directed.
• Clean material buildup from conveyors, crushers, screens, catwalks, and work areas.
• Assist with welding, fabrication, and installation projects as needed.
• Troubleshoot and report equipment issues to maintenance supervisors.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safely and effectively.
• Support plant start-ups, shutdowns, and scheduled maintenance outages.
• Maintain housekeeping standards in accordance with company policies and MSHA regulations.
• Work safely around moving equipment, heavy machinery, and production processes.
• Follow all company safety policies, lockout/tagout procedures, and PPE requirements.
