Job summary

APAC Mississippi, Inc., a CRH Company, is seeking a Traveling Heavy Equipment Operator for our open pit mine operations in Mississippi. You will safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment such as Haul Trucks, Motors Graders, Bulldozers, Excavators and Front End Loaders, in a team environment with supervision.

The position requires at least three years of equipment operation experience, willingness to travel up to 75% of duties, and the ability to work nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Previous related experience in the construction field and/or training.
• Two to Five years' experience in loader operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment of various sizes and weights used in pit and mining operations.
• Report any problems to your manager.
• Operator will be responsible for a safe work environment for themselves and co-workers.
• Follow directions of Foreman as to daily tasks and expectations for each specific project or job site.
• Perform daily pre-and-post inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies.
• Assist in training less-experienced employees on the proper operations, servicing and repair of equipment to further their abilities.
