Job summary

APAC Mississippi, Inc., a CRH company, is seeking a Traveling Stripping Haul Truck Driver (Construction) to safely operate heavy equipment in open pit mining environments across various sites in Mississippi. You will join a team of co-workers and managers, reporting any issues to the Foreman and maintaining strict safety standards.

The role requires at least three years of equipment operation experience, a commitment to safety, and flexibility to travel and work nights or weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• At least three years of experience operating heavy equipment (e.g., Haul Truck, Motor Grader, Bulldozer, Excavator, Front End Loader).
• Experience in construction/mining environment preferred.
• Commitment to safety procedures and OSHA/MSHA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment of various sizes and weights used in pit and mining operations
• Report any problems to your manager
• Maintain a safe work environment for yourself and co-workers
• Maintain eye contact and use hand signals when backing with co-workers
• Follow company policies and OSHA/MSHA regulations for safe procedures
• Follow Foreman directions for daily tasks and project-specific expectations
• Perform minor servicing and maintenance of equipment; refer major problems to Foreman
• Perform daily pre- and post-inspections with proper documentation
• Assist in training less-experienced employees on equipment operations and repairs
• Perform general labor duties when necessary
• Perform other duties as assigned
